JP Kraemer faces business collapse after domestic violence admissions
German entrepreneur and YouTube star Jean Pierre “JP” Kraemer is facing severe professional and legal consequences following admissions of domestic violence against his wife, Julia Meck. After surveillance footage surfaced showing Kraemer physically assaulting Meck, he partially confessed to the abuse in a YouTube video, citing a loss of control.
Major business partners have moved to sever ties. Borussia Dortmund removed a joint clothing collection from its online shop, and the beverage brand Gönrgy ended its partnership, stating a clear distance from violence against women. The streaming service Joyn also removed his program “PS Profis” from its lineup.
In response to the scandal, Kraemer announced via YouTube that he intends to close all his business ventures, including JP Performance, which reportedly comprises 18 companies and employs approximately 80 people. Meanwhile, the Dortmund public prosecutor's office is reviewing a request to reopen criminal proceedings against him following a formal complaint filed by Meck's legal counsel.
