Borussia Dortmund prepares for Champions League clash with Real Betis

Borussia Dortmund is set to host Real Betis Sevilla at Signal Iduna Park for their fourth Champions League league phase match. The kickoff is scheduled for 21:00 on Wednesday. Real Betis currently holds fifth place in the standings with nine points, while Dortmund sits in 13th place with six points.

This match marks the first time the two clubs have met in an official competition. Real Betis enters the game following a recent victory against Feyenoord Rotterdam, while Dortmund comes off a win against Sabah FK. The match will be broadcast live on DAZN, requiring a paid subscription, though a live ticker will be available via t-online.

Separately, reports indicate that midfielder Marcel Sabitzer may leave Borussia Dortmund following the current season. Despite a recent decisive free-kick goal against Werder Bremen in the DFB-Pokal, the club is reportedly not seeking a contract extension. This aligns with a strategic shift under Sporting Director Ole Boehm to focus on younger, high-potential players rather than established veterans.
