Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy’s exit clause expires July 15

Borussia Dortmund’s 30‑year‑old forward Serhou Guirassy faces a deadline on 15 July when his special exit clause ends. The clause allows seven pre‑selected European elite clubs – Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal – to trigger a transfer for just under €40 million. So far none of those clubs have submitted an offer.

Fenerbahçe of Turkey has shown interest, but the player has indicated that a move to the Süper Lig is not his priority and no formal bid exists yet. Guirassy joined Dortmund in 2024 from VfB Stuttgart for €18 million and has scored 60 goals with 15 assists in 96 league matches. His contract runs until the summer of 2028, and the club’s broader transfer plans remain tied to his eventual departure.

The situation comes amid a busy transfer window for Dortmund, with recent signings including Joane Gadou, Kaua Prates and Justin Lerma, and the club awaiting further sales to fund additional reinforcements.
