Borussia Dortmund signs Joey Veerman from PSV Eindhoven

Borussia Dortmund has reached an agreement to sign midfielder Joey Veerman from PSV Eindhoven. The German club triggered a release clause in the 27-year-old's contract, with the transfer reportedly valued between €21.5 million and €25 million.

Veerman is expected to sign a five-year contract at Signal Iduna Park. The Dutch international is scheduled to undergo a medical on Monday to finalize the move. Dortmund manager Niko Kovac sought an experienced playmaker to bolster a midfield that has primarily focused on younger players during this transfer window.

Veerman, who has spent four years at PSV, expressed enthusiasm for the move, describing Dortmund as a “great option” and a “fantastic opportunity.” His departure follows a successful period in the Netherlands where he recorded 31 goals and 67 assists in 198 appearances for PSV.
