Boryung signs 383.7 billion KRW Taxotere supply deal with China's Yifan Pharmaceutical
Boryung has signed a 7-year supply agreement with China's Yifan Pharmaceutical to provide the anticancer drug Taxotere (docetaxel). The contract is valued at approximately 277 million USD (roughly 383.7 billion KRW), marking the largest supply deal in Boryung's history.
The agreement includes a minimum annual purchase obligation, with provisions for cash compensation if actual purchase volumes fall below agreed levels. This structure is intended to ensure long-term sales and revenue visibility for Boryung.
This deal follows Boryung's acquisition of the global business for Taxotere from Sanofi. Securing the Chinese market, which represents a significant portion of the product's revenue, is a key component of Boryung's strategy to manage the entire product lifecycle. The company plans to eventually transition Taxotere production to its Yesan Campus in South Korea. Boryung has set a target to achieve over 300 billion KRW in global sales by 2030 through brand acquisitions, production internalization, and expansion of its CDMO business.
