Bosa inaugurates three new TransMilenio stations

Bogotá has inaugurated three new TransMilenio stations in the Bosa locality along Avenida Ciudad de Cali: Tibanica–Primavera, Los Laureles, and Islandia. The expansion covers a 2.85-kilometer stretch of new trunk infrastructure designed to improve mobility in the southwest of the city.

Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán announced that the stations were put into service to address previous delays in the project. To facilitate operation while construction continues in certain sectors, TransMilenio has deployed 50 dual articulated electric buses capable of using both exclusive lanes and mixed traffic lanes.

The new infrastructure includes 19,700 square meters of public space, 5,900 square meters of green zones, and 1.51 kilometers of bicycle paths. The stations also feature integrated TransMiBici capacity with 509 total slots, with Tibanica–Primavera serving as the station with the highest bicycle capacity in Bogotá.
