Bosch advances e-bike technology with smart systems and integrated apps

Bosch is advancing e-bike technology through its Smart System and the eBike Flow App, which integrates navigation, security, and performance customization. Recent app updates allow for AI-supported range planning, digital theft protection, and improved navigation features such as saving up to three favorite destinations for quick access via the display or Ride Screen.

Users can also adjust routes mid-ride by using the quick menu on the LED-Remote, Mini Remote, or Purion 200. These software enhancements aim to make e-biking more intuitive for both daily commuting and long-distance touring.

In application of this technology, the KTM Macina Gran 610 low-step electric bike is designed for city and trekking use. It features a Bosch Performance CX Gen. 4 Smart System motor providing 85 Nm of torque and a 625 Wh Bosch PowerTube battery. The bicycle is equipped with Shimano components, including a 9-speed Alivio drivetrain and MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, alongside a Suntour XCM 32 ATB coil suspension fork.
