Bosch and Richter Gedeon study quality of life in Hungary

A joint 2026 study conducted by Bosch Group and Richter Gedeon Nyrt. in Hungary examined the factors influencing longevity and the overall quality of life for Hungarian citizens. The research explored how biotechnological and technical innovations might contribute to a more fulfilling, less stressful, and more secure existence.

According to the findings, respondents identified health (53%) and financial stability (53%) as the most critical components of a high quality of life, followed by meaningful relationships with family and friends (43%). Conversely, the primary factors undermining quality of life were financial difficulties (52%), illness (40%), and psychological stressors such as tension and uncertainty (46%).

Other challenges noted by participants included a lack of time and leisure (27%), fear of loneliness or isolation (18%), and excessive workloads in school or the workplace (16%). The study also observed that while many individuals focus on improving their current well-being through self-care and sleep, long-term planning for the future tends to take a secondary role.
