Bosch announces new smart home security and heating features

To mark the tenth anniversary of its smart home division, Bosch has announced several new features and service updates for its ecosystem.

For security, the company is introducing Eyes+, an enhanced person recognition service for indoor and outdoor cameras. The system uses encrypted digital feature descriptions stored in the Bosch cloud to distinguish between known and unknown individuals, allowing for filtered notifications. This service is expected to launch in November 2026 with a monthly subscription fee of €2.99 in Germany.

In the realm of energy management, Bosch is expanding its Home+ subscription, which costs €4.99 per month. New features include optimized heat distribution and demand-oriented heating. The optimized distribution function, used in conjunction with the Bosch Radiator Thermostat II [+M], performs an automatic hydraulic balancing to ensure consistent temperatures across all rooms. The demand-oriented heating feature enables communication between sensors and heat generators, such as heat pumps, to ensure heat is only produced when necessary.
