Bosch Rexroth expands ctrlX AUTOMATION platform

Bosch Rexroth is expanding its ctrlX AUTOMATION platform with new solutions focused on safety, drives, and engineering. The expansion includes the ctrlX SAFETY portfolio, which provides functional safety ranging from the drive level to software-based safety control. The ctrlX DRIVE portfolio has also been expanded with an ‘Economy Line’ to offer ‘just enough’ drive configurations.

Additionally, the release of ctrlX OS 4.6 introduces significant updates to security and engineering capabilities. To accelerate deployment, the company is offering pre-configured solution sets for specific sectors, such as mobile robotics and energy technology. Steffen Winkler, Sales Manager for the Automation & Electrification Solutions business unit, noted that automation is becoming increasingly software-centric, allowing for faster and more flexible machine adaptations.
