Bose announces new USB-C Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds

Bose has announced the release of its Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds, marking a return to the wired earbud category after more than a decade. The new model utilizes a USB-C connection, allowing users to connect directly to smartphones, tablets, and PCs without the need for Bluetooth pairing or internal batteries.

The earbuds feature Bose QuietControl technology, utilizing four microphones to monitor and reduce ambient noise. Users can select from three modes: Quiet mode for noise reduction, Aware mode for environmental awareness, and an ANC Off mode. The device supports lossless audio playback through its proprietary SoundDesign digital signal processing and adheres to the USB Audio Class 2 (UAC2) protocol, providing 24-bit/48kHz output.

Designed for low latency, the earbuds are positioned as suitable for gaming, video consumption, and content creation. The hardware includes an inline remote for volume and playback control, an IPX4 water resistance rating, and a 1.3m cable. The product will be available in Black, White Smoke, and a limited-edition Dewdrop Mint color, and includes a zippered carrying case.
