Bose introduces new wired USB-C noise cancelling earbuds
Bose has expanded its product portfolio by introducing Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds, marking a return to the wired segment for the first time in eleven years. These USB-C earbuds do not require a battery or Bluetooth connection, as they draw power directly from the connected device. The model features active noise cancellation (ANC) with three modes—Quiet, Aware, and off—and includes four microphones and IPX4 splash resistance. They are priced at 99 USD in the US market.
In a broader market context, wired in-ear headphones are seeing renewed interest as an alternative to wireless models. Comparative testing of various wired models from brands including Apple, JBL, Sony, Panasonic, and Ludos highlights different consumer priorities. While Bose focuses on high-end wired ANC, budget options like Apple EarPods remain popular for their microphone quality and ease of use, despite lacking active noise cancellation.
