Bose launches new USB-C noise-cancelling wired earbuds
Bose has announced the launch of its Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds, marking the company’s first return to the wired earbud market in over a decade. The new model utilizes a USB-C connection and is priced at $99 (approximately £99 or €99).
Designed to address a growing consumer interest in wired audio, the earbuds feature active noise cancellation (ANC) powered by QuietControl technology. Unlike wireless models, these earbuds do not require an internal battery or a charging case; instead, they draw power directly from the connected device. They offer three listening modes: Quiet, Aware, and ANC Off.
Technical specifications include support for lossless audio with a fixed 24-bit/48 kHz output via the USB Audio Class 2 protocol. The earbuds also feature an IPX4 water-resistance rating, a 1.28-meter cable with an in-line remote for volume and playback control, and a dedicated microphone for calls.
Bose's move follows market data from Circana indicating a resurgence in wired headphone sales, particularly among younger demographics like Gen Z. Pre-orders are currently available, with shipping expected to begin around October 15, 2026.
