Bose returns to wired audio with new $99 noise-cancelling earbuds
Bose has announced the release of its Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds, marking the company’s first return to wired audio products in 11 years. Priced at $99, the earbuds utilize a USB-C connection and draw power directly from the connected device, eliminating the need for internal batteries or charging.
The device features QuietControl active noise cancellation (ANC) with three modes: Quiet, Aware, and ANC-Off. It supports high-quality 24-bit/48kHz audio via the USB Audio Class 2 protocol, offering low-latency performance suitable for gaming and video. Controls are managed through a physical three-button inline remote that also includes a dedicated microphone for calls.
This release follows a growing trend of interest in wired technology among younger consumers. The earbuds are available for preorder in colors including Black, White Smoke, and a limited-edition Dewdrop Mint, with shipping expected to begin in mid-October.
Separately, Bose is expanding its sports audio lineup in Indonesia with the Bose Sport Open Earbuds. Designed specifically for runners, these open-ear TWS earbuds are scheduled for release in the Indonesian market on October 1, 2026, at a launch price of Rp2,699,000.
