Bose launches USB-C noise cancelling wired earbuds
Bose has launched new Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds that connect via USB-C, eliminating the need for internal batteries, Bluetooth pairing, or companion apps. The earbuds draw power directly from the connected device, such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer, to support audio processing and active noise cancellation (ANC).
The device features three listening modes: Quiet, Aware, and ANC Off, which can be toggled using an inline remote on the 1.28-meter cable. The earbuds utilize the USB Audio Class 2 protocol and Bose’s SoundDesign digital signal processing to support lossless audio playback at a fixed output of 24-bit/48kHz. This wired connection is intended to reduce latency for gaming, video watching, and content creation.
Technical specifications include IPX4 water resistance, four microphones total for noise cancellation, and physical controls for volume, playback, and calls. The package includes three sizes of silicone eartips and two sizes of stability wings. Available colors include Black, White Smoke, and a limited-edition Dewdrop Mint, with the Black version being released first in South Korea.
