Bose Ogulu, the mother and manager of Afrobeats singer Burna Boy, has discussed the complexities of her son’s personality and his tendency toward outspoken behavior on social media. During an appearance on Channels Television hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Ogulu explained that she occasionally intervenes by taking his phone when he becomes too candid during Instagram Live sessions.

Ogulu described the Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, as being like a ‘tapestry,’ suggesting that his controversial traits are interconnected with the emotional depth that fans admire. She noted a distinct difference between her own social media presence and his, emphasizing the need to make allowances for his authentic self.

In addition to discussing his personality, Ogulu’s management has overseen significant international milestones, including the success of the song ‘Dai Dai,’ a collaboration with Shakira that debuted at number one on the Billboard Global 200.
