Bose QuietComfort headphones receive 2nd Gen update

Bose is introducing the second generation of its QuietComfort headphones, featuring significant upgrades to audio technology and design. A key addition is the integration of Bose TrueSpatial Technology, which provides virtual spatial audio modes—Still, Motion, and Cinema—previously exclusive to the Ultra series. This technology aims to simulate a stereo speaker sweet spot regardless of the audio source.

The updated model features revised active noise-cancelling (QuietControl) using six microphones and adaptive feedforward regulation to improve performance for users wearing glasses or headwear. Connectivity is enhanced with Bluetooth 5.4, multipoint support, and USB-C, which now serves as a digital audio interface supporting up to 24-bit/48 kHz audio.

Design improvements focus on long-term comfort, including redesigned ear pads and headbands. The headphones are expected to offer up to 24 hours of battery life, or 18 hours with Immersive Audio enabled. The new generation is anticipated to launch in various colors, with pricing estimated around €349.95 or $360.
