Boshimo expands digital pregnancy notification support to 22 more Japanese municipalities

Boshimo Co., Ltd. has expanded its digital pregnancy notification support to 22 additional Japanese municipalities as of August. This expansion brings the total number of municipalities utilizing the company’s digital pregnancy notification services to 258.

Through its ‘Childcare DX’ service, the company provides specialized tools that allow users to submit pregnancy notifications and various surveys regarding pregnancy and childbirth directly via the ‘Boshimo’ maternal and child health handbook app. The initiative aims to reduce the administrative burden on pregnant individuals during physically unstable periods while improving operational efficiency for local governments.

By digitizing these initial touchpoints, the service facilitates better data sharing between residents, municipalities, and medical institutions. This supports the broader ‘Childcare Policy DX’ promoted by the Children and Families Agency, aiming to streamline subsequent services such as infant health checkups and vaccinations.
