Boska seeks debt restructuring while Aquaterra solutions faces asset sale

The retail company Boska is seeking a new loan of 5.3 million KM to settle its existing long-term debt with Atos Bank. The company plans to use the funds to transition from a variable interest rate of 6.5 percent to a fixed rate of 5.5 percent with Banka Poštanska štedionica. To secure this credit, Boska intends to mortgage its business building in the center of Banja Luka, which has an estimated market value of approximately 43.06 million KM.

In Montenegro, the company Aquaterra solutions faces significant financial distress, with its accounts blocked for over 2.5 million euros. This follows a long-standing dispute with the Municipality of Budva regarding unpaid lease payments for an aqua-park site at Topliš hill. While the municipality seeks to recover unpaid rent through the sale of the company's equipment, the inventoried assets are valued at only 648,000 euros, a fraction of the total debt. Legal proceedings are ongoing as the company attempts to block the public sale of its movable property.
