Bosnia and Croatia host Saint John festivities in Široki Brijeg and Dajla

In Široki Brijeg, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the volunteer fire department Uzarići invited residents and pilgrims to a communal walk to Crnašnica for the feast of Saint John. Participants gathered at 19:30 in front of the Church of St. Anthony, lit the traditional bonfire, and proceeded on foot, with the event open to all ages.

In Dajla, Croatia, a three‑day festival from 24 to 27 June celebrates Saint John the Baptist with a mass, a seaside bonfire, concerts, sports tournaments, traditional games and local gastronomy. The programme, organised by the “Dajla živi” initiative and municipal bodies, aims to showcase Istrian customs and attract visitors to the coastal town.
