Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia approve major public infrastructure contracts

The Government of the Tuzla Canton in Bosnia and Herzegovina signed contracts worth 650,000 KM with 14 municipal waste‑management companies. The funding will be used to purchase containers, bins and vehicles for primary waste sorting, aiming to reduce waste generation for the region’s roughly 100 tonnes of daily waste.

In Croatia, contracts valued at €10,349,118.73 were signed to build a public irrigation system in the Lukač area of Virovitica‑Podravina County. The project, co‑financed by the European Union, will irrigate 447 ha and is part of a broader effort to develop about 3,500 ha of irrigated land in the county, supporting farmers amid increasing droughts and climate extremes.
