Bosnia and Herzegovina football team prepares for Nations League

Bosnia and Herzegovina's national football team head coach Sergej Barbarez has announced squad changes ahead of a demanding UEFA Nations League schedule, featuring four matches in 11 days. The team will face Poland and Romania away, followed by home matches against Sweden and Poland.

Due to significant injuries, Barbarez has called up several players, including Benjamin Tahirović, Ajdin Hasić, Arjan Malić, and Luka Đurić. The squad is notably missing Amar Dedić, who is sidelined for three to four weeks with a hamstring injury, and Kenan Busuladžić, who faces a nine-month absence due to torn cruciate ligaments. Kerim Alajbegović's status remains uncertain following hip discomfort.

The upcoming schedule holds emotional weight as captain Edin Džeko is set to play his final international match for the national team on October 2 against Sweden in Zenica. Tickets for the match against Romania in Zenica are currently on sale, with prices ranging from 40 to 60 KM.

Barbarez emphasized that while the primary long-term goal remains qualifying for the European Championship, the Nations League serves as a vital period for testing new players and building confidence.
