Bosnia and Herzegovina increases tax exemptions for disability vehicles

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has approved an initiative to increase the tax exemption threshold for passenger vehicles intended for persons with disabilities. The threshold will rise from 30,000 KM to 45,000 KM.

Serđan Amiđić, Minister of Finance and Treasury, stated that the decision was proposed by the Indirect Taxation Authority and will include an automatic annual adjustment based on the inflation rate determined by the Agency for Statistics. This measure aims to assist both war veterans with limb loss and civilian persons with disabilities by making specialized vehicles more accessible.

Representatives from the Organization of Amputees UDAS noted that the initiative, which has been sought since 2018, will significantly increase independence for users, particularly those in wheelchairs.
