Bosnia and Herzegovina plans up to 6% pension rise; IT workers earn highest salaries
Pensioners in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina could see their regular pension values adjusted upward by between 5.8% and 6% from July, according to representatives of pensioner associations. The final rate will be set after the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Institute reviews average wages and the consumer price index published by the Federal Statistical Office, and then confirmed by the Federation government. The increase is expected to be paid in August.
According to the Bosnia and Herzegovina statistical agency, average gross earnings vary widely by sector. In April, IT workers earned the highest average net salary at 2,399 KM, followed by finance and insurance (2,196 KM) and public administration (2,119 KM). Other sectors such as manufacturing, energy supply and technical professions paid around 2,000 KM, while hospitality workers earned the lowest average of 1,157 KM.
