Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to raise July pensions by 3.5% on Aug 5

The Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Fund announced that July pension payments in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will begin on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, with a 3.5 % increase applied to eligible pensions. The adjustment covers pensions earned up to 1 January 2026 and raises the lowest pension to 690.10 KM, the guaranteed pension to 823.59 KM, and the highest pension to 3 450.47 KM. The average pension for July will be about 881.89 KM.

A total of 471 578 pensioners will receive the payments, costing roughly 370.17 million convertible marks. The increase follows a formula that combines 60 % of average gross wage growth with 40 % of consumer‑price‑index growth. The rate is provisional; if the final official rate exceeds 3.5 %, the difference will be paid retroactively to July.

Pensions granted after 1 January 2026 are not subject to this adjustment, except for the lowest and guaranteed pensions, which also receive the 3.5 % uplift.
