Bosnia and Herzegovina sees 6.5% rise in new vehicle registrations in June 2026
In June 2026 Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded 12,331 first‑time motor vehicle registrations, a 6.5% increase compared with the same month in 2025. Passenger cars made up the majority at 71.5%, followed by motorcycles (7.2%), trucks (5.9%), trailers (3.3%), mopeds (3.1%) and other categories (5.4%); buses accounted for only 0.3%.
A total of 2,606 new motor vehicles were registered in June, up 23.9% year‑on‑year, with 21.1% of the first‑time registrations being brand‑new vehicles. From January to June 2026, 11,243 new motor vehicles were registered, a 13.8% rise over the same period in 2025. Passenger cars represented 45.1% of these new registrations, and 57.0% of the first‑time new vehicles were registered by private individuals. Among the newly registered passenger cars, 47.4% use gasoline as fuel.
