Bosnia and Herzegovina sees record new car registrations in June

In June, Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded a historic spike in new‑car registrations, reaching 1,494 units – the highest monthly total on record. For the first time, more vehicles built for the 2026 model year (1,174) were registered than those from 2011 (1,084).

Legal entities accounted for 57.5 % of the registrations, driven by rent‑a‑car firms, companies, taxi operators and state services, while private buyers made up the remaining 42.5 %. The World Cup period spurred promotional campaigns that further boosted sales.

Toyota retained its position as the top brand among private purchasers, while Skoda led overall volume, with the Octavia model being the most popular. Chinese manufacturers continued to gain traction, and hybrid cars outsold diesel models for the second consecutive month, signalling a shift toward greener powertrains.
