Bosnia and Herzegovina sees rise in vocational retraining

An increasing number of people in Bosnia and Herzegovina are pursuing vocational retraining to secure employment or additional income. While information technology courses remain popular, there is a growing interest in practical professions that do not require a university degree.

Highly sought-after training programs include accounting, culinary arts, digital marketing, hairdressing, and nail care. An accounting course, which covers topics from business formation to closing a company, costs approximately 670 KM. Culinary courses are priced at around 500 KM and offer employment opportunities in local restaurants, hotels, and abroad, particularly in Croatia, Montenegro, or on cruise ships.

While these courses provide foundational knowledge, experts note that long-term success in these fields requires continuous practice, staying updated on changing regulations, and gaining practical experience to build a client base.
