Bosnia and Herzegovina signs Declaration on European future in Orašje

A three‑day international conference in Orašje concluded with the adoption and signing of a Declaration on the European future of Bosnia and Herzegovina. More than 70 participants from seven European countries attended, representing politicians, diplomats, academics and civil‑society organisations.

The event, organised by the Pan‑European Union of BiH together with the Human Brotherhood Foundation and partners from the Posavina County Government, the City of Orašje and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, saw the document signed by Pan‑European Union of BiH president academic Mons. Franjo Topić, Posavina County governor Đuro Topić and Orašje mayor Marijan Oršolić. The declaration affirms that EU and Euro‑Atlantic integration are the country’s principal strategic choice, calling on all political and societal actors to strengthen institutions, promote social cohesion and advance transport, energy, digital connectivity and cross‑border cooperation.

Among the attendees were BiH Justice Minister Davor Bunoza, DEI representative Darija Ramljak, Croatian ambassador Ivan Sabolić, and officials from the Brčko District and Vukovar‑Syrmia County, underscoring broad regional support for Bosnia’s European path.
