Bosnia and Herzegovina tourism rises 2.7% in first four months of 2026

Tourist visits to Bosnia and Herzegovina reached 466,460 in the period January‑April 2026, a 2.7% increase over the same period in 2025. Domestic visitors grew by 8%, while foreign visitors were up 0.1%.

Overnight stays totaled 1,021,602, up 3.9% year‑on‑year. Domestic guests accounted for 31.9% of all stays and foreign guests 68.1%. Among foreign tourists, the largest shares came from Croatia (26.4%), Serbia (16.6%), Slovenia (7.8%), Turkey (7.0%), Germany (3.9%) and Montenegro (3.7%). Hotels and similar accommodation provided 95.1% of all overnight stays.
