EU approves €140.5 million grant for Bosnia and Herzegovina
The European Union has approved a non‑refundable grant of €140.5 million for Bosnia and Herzegovina under the Instrument for Pre‑Accession Assistance (IPA III) for the 2025‑2027 period. The agreement was ratified by the Council of Ministers and the tripartite Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The funds will be allocated to projects that support economic development, reforms of public administration and institutions, migration management, sustainable agriculture and the food sector, and other areas critical to the country’s EU accession process. The EU reiterated its role as Bosnia’s most consistent partner and said the aid aims to strengthen institutions, improve public‑policy management, increase economic competitiveness and align Bosnia’s legislation with EU standards.
