Bosnia and Herzegovina's nature tourism and camping sector expand

Bosnia and Herzegovina is seeing a rise in camping tourism, though the sector still accounts for less than 3% of total overnight stays. While the country's natural rivers and mountains attract foreign campers, local experts suggest that a lack of basic infrastructure, such as toilets and electricity at campsites, and inadequate tourist mapping are hindering further growth.

In the northwestern region, the town of Sanski Most is highlighted as a significant natural destination. Known locally as the "Little Venice" due to its canals, the area is traversed by nine rivers, including the Sana and Bliha. The region features notable landmarks such as the 56-meter-high Bliha waterfall, the Sanska Ilidža thermal spa, and protected caves like Hrustovačka and Dabarska.
