Bosnia defeats Qatar 3-1 in World Cup group match

Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Qatar 3-1 in the final group‑stage match of the FIFA World Cup, held in Seattle. The win secured Bosnia a spot in the knockout stage while leaving Qatar at the bottom of Group B.

Qatar coach Djulen Lopetegi said his side created more clear‑cut chances but failed to convert them, expressing pride in the players’ effort despite the loss. He noted the team “had more clean chances but didn’t use them” and hopes the experience will benefit young players.

Former Bosnia coach Faruk Hadžibegić, speaking to Tportal, criticised the team’s performance and said he was “not satisfied with the play,” even though the result was positive. He praised the current selection by Sergej Barbarez and highlighted the squad’s perspective for future tournaments.
