Bosnia holds annual International Waterfall Diving Competition
The annual International Waterfall Diving Competition took place on Saturday, August 8, in Jajce, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Athletes gathered at the Pliva Waterfall to perform high-altitude dives from a height of 22 meters.
Bosnian athlete Igor Arsenić won this year's competition, earning recognition for his technique and composure during the demanding event. Arsenić described the Pliva Waterfall as "one of the most beautiful" locations in the world for diving.
The competition occurred during a period of prolonged heat and drought across the Balkans, making the waterfall a popular cooling spot for spectators. One attendee, Seheržanda Rizvić, noted that during such hot weather, "nothing compares to this waterfall."
