Bosnia‑Herzegovina pension minister Delić announces temporary 3.5% increase
Federal Minister of Labour and Social Policy Adnan Delić met with the newly elected leadership of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Pensioners' Association in Sarajevo. The talks focused on the second regular pension adjustment for 2024. Delić explained that a temporary increase of 3.5 % was applied so retirees would not have to wait until September for the raise. He said the amount was the minimum that could be calculated from the currently available official statistics.
The final adjustment percentage will be determined once the Federal Statistical Office publishes the first‑half‑year data. The temporary payment will be added to the September pension, and the difference for July and August will also be paid. The adjustment is calculated on pensions already increased by 11.26 % in January, as prescribed by law based on wage growth and consumer‑price index changes. The exact final figure will be announced after the statistical processing is completed.
