Bosniak cultural and linguistic works promoted in Mostar and Tuzla

Several significant cultural and linguistic works were recently promoted in the Balkans, highlighting Bosniak intellectual and historical heritage.

In Mostar, the Congress of Bosniak Intellectuals, in collaboration with the University of Džemal Bijedić and the National Library of Mostar, promoted a twelve-volume multi-volume encyclopedic Dictionary of the Bosnian Language. The project, led by the late academic Dževad Jahić, was presented by various scholars and officials, including Dr. Haris Ćatović. The complete set was donated to the National Library in Mostar, with remaining volumes provided to the University.

In Tuzla, during the Second International Scientific Symposium at the University of Tuzla Faculty of Law, the “Bosniak Collection 1 – Sevdalinka and Hasanaginica” was promoted. This publication is a joint effort between the Bosniak Council in Montenegro and the Bosniak National Community in Serbia. The event also featured the promotion of the “Sandžak Collection” and the journal “Bosniak Voice” from Croatia, focusing on the preservation of intellectual thought, language, and history across Montenegro, Serbia, and Croatia.
