In an article by Professor Jahja Fehratović, it is noted that while Vučić is often viewed with deep mistrust in Bosnia and Herzegovina due to his political history in the 1990s, some Bosniaks living in Serbia view him differently. Fehratović observes that Vučić’s rhetoric toward Bosniaks in Serbia acknowledges them as citizens of Serbia without questioning their identity, contrasting with opposition figures like Srđan Milivojević who focus on integrating them into a ‘Serbian future.’ The distinction underscores how geographic and political contexts shape the acceptance of leadership and identity politics across borders.
