Bosnian bishops lead major June pilgrimages in Križevci and Štivor

On Saturday, 20 June 2026, Bishop Milan Stipić celebrated the traditional pilgrimage to the shrine of Saint Šarbel in the Greek‑Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Križevci. He led the Divine Liturgy for numerous pilgrims and delivered a homily emphasizing love, mercy and the moral voice of conscience.

The same day, Bishop Željko Majić presided over the feast of Saint John the Baptist in the parish of Štivor, Prnjavor. The ceremony gathered local faithful and a large contingent of Štivor descendants from Italy, highlighting historic ties with the Trentino region. The bishop’s homily stressed humility, service and the importance of community cohesion, while the liturgy was enriched by choirs from the parish and Italy.
