Bosnian cities approve financing for micro‑businesses and infrastructure projects

The city of Bihać signed contracts to co‑finance four micro‑businesses with a total of 32,000 KM, contributed by the municipal budget (22,000 KM) and the Mozaik Foundation’s Youth Bank (10,000 KM). Mayor Elvedin Sedić and foundation representative Željko Pauković said the program supports young entrepreneurs and aims to create new jobs.

In Banja Luka, the city assembly approved a credit borrowing decision for 18 million KM to fund capital‑investment projects, including paving around the city centre, upgrading public parking facilities and improving utility services. Assembly president Ljubo Ninković highlighted the need for transparency on how the funds will be spent, while mayor Draško Stanivuković defended the loan as essential for the city’s development.

Both initiatives reflect local authorities’ efforts to stimulate economic activity and improve municipal infrastructure in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
