Bosnian Court Returns War Crimes Indictment for Sanski Most and Manjača Camps

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent a revised indictment back to the State Prosecutor's Office for further amendment. The indictment names six suspects – Drage Vujanić, Milan Ivanić, Mile Došenović, Jugoslav Rodić, Milorad Bilbija and Sime Simetić – accused of participating in a joint criminal enterprise that illegally detained thousands of non‑Serb civilians, subjected them to physical and mental torture, caused at least 40 deaths in detention, and forced more than 1,600 people to be transferred to the Manjača military camp and subsequently deported.

The indictment had been promised early in the year but was delayed. Internal disputes within the prosecutor’s office emerged, with senior prosecutor Izet Odobašić filing a complaint against chief prosecutor Milanko Kajganić, leading to disciplinary procedures involving both officials.
