Bosnian postal worker missing after traveling toward Thailand
Police in Bosnia and Herzegovina have launched an operational search for a postal worker from Višići, near Čapljina, after he was reported missing. The individual, identified as S. J., was last in contact with his mother via WhatsApp on September 6, 2026.
Investigations suggest the man traveled from Mostar to Sarajevo and flew to Turkey, with a flight itinerary indicating Bangkok, Thailand, as the final destination. Authorities have confirmed he left the country, though his current whereabouts remain unknown.
The disappearance coincides with reports that between 50 and 60 pensions were not delivered. While questions remain regarding the missing funds and the status of the payments, Hrvatska pošta Mostar has issued a statement assuring retirees that their pensions will be paid and that they should not be concerned about the continuity of postal services.
