Bosnian striker Admir Bristrić close to £2 million move to Leicester City

Admir Bristrić, a 21‑year‑old Bosnian forward born in Tuzla, is on the verge of completing his biggest career transfer. The striker, who stands 187 cm tall, has left Slovenian club NK Olimpija Ljubljana with permission to travel to England for medical examinations and, pending a clean bill of health, will sign a contract with Leicester City Football Club. Slovenian media report the fee will be between €1.7 million and €2 million.

Bristrić’s career path includes youth spells at HŠK Zrinjski and FK Sloboda, senior experience with Hrvatski Dragovoljac and HNK Rijeka, and a 2023 move to Olimpija. While at Olimpija he was loaned to Ukrainian side FC Polissya and to Slovenian rivals NK Bravo, where he scored 15 goals in 30 league matches, establishing himself as one of the league’s most prolific attackers. He has also featured for Bosnia and Herzegovina at every youth level, netting six goals in 14 appearances for the U‑21 side.

Leicester City, currently competing in England’s League One after recent relegation, view the addition of the physically strong Bosnian striker as part of a project to rebuild the squad and secure a swift return to higher divisions.
