Bosnia's IX Family Day gathers dozens of families in Kupres

The IX Family Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina was celebrated at the Parish of Holy Family in Kupres. Organized by the Council for Laity, Family and Life of the Bishops' Conference under the slogan “Families, become who you are,” the two‑day event featured catechesis, workshops for parents and children, a communal dinner, confessions and spiritual‑musical programmes for the youngest participants.

On Sunday, a solemn Eucharistic celebration was led by Metropolitan Archbishop Tomo Vukšić together with Bishops Petar Palić, Željko Majić, Cardinal Vinko Puljić and other clergy. The homily highlighted the family as the cornerstone of society and the Church, urging parents to raise children in faith, love and community. Grandparents were honored on the International Day of Grandparents, and married couples marking 25th, 50th, 60th and 70th wedding anniversaries received blessings. The Gradina parish choir performed, and the service was broadcast by RTV Herceg‑Bosne and Laudato TV.
