Bosnia’s KK Bosna BH Telecom signs American center James Banks III

Bosna BH Telecom announced the signing of American 208‑cm center James Banks III for the upcoming season. Banks, born 16 January 1998, developed at La Lumiere Academy in Indiana before playing college basketball for the Texas Longhorns and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, where he twice earned ACC All‑Defensive Team honors. After going undrafted in 2020 he played in the NBA G League for the Texas Legends, Maine Celtics and Austin Spurs, and had stints in Israel with Hapoel Beer Sheva and Ironi Kiryat Ata, as well as a spell with Greek club Aris. He also participated in the NBA Summer League with the Charlotte Hornets and New Orleans Pelicans. In the 2020/21 season he was named the best blocker in the Israeli league, averaging 3.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. Bosna expects his defensive abilities and rim protection to strengthen the team’s domestic and European campaigns.
