Bosnia’s Tuzla Festival Finale and Sarajevo Gala Concert Celebrate Music

The 16th edition of the Kaleidoskop Youth Arts Festival in Tuzla concluded its music program on the evening of August 1 with a free‑entry concert that attracted thousands of fans from Tuzla and other Bosnian cities. The final stage featured regional acts Edo Maajka, LET 3, KOIKOI, Sassja and Zhiva, closing a week of performances, exhibitions and workshops organized by the City of Tuzla and local cultural institutions.

On August 16, Sarajevo’s historic Vijećnica hosted the gala concert “Most prijateljstva” (Bridge of Friendship), part of the “SAD‑BiH‑Western Balkans” cultural initiative. Conducted by maestro Emir Nuhanović, the event brought together the Balkan Philharmonic Orchestra Ilirikum, the youth choir from Zenica, the children’s choir Mimika and dozens of artists from across the region. The program blended operatic arias, sevdalinke and other Balkan musical heritage, symbolising cultural ties between the United States and the Balkans during a US delegation visit.

Both events highlight Bosnia and Herzegovina’s vibrant cultural scene and its role as a bridge between Western and regional artistic traditions.
