Bosques del Itata Concessionaire Announces Ruta 158 Traffic Cuts

The Sociedad Concesionaria Bosques del Itata announced that on 4–6 August 2026 it will impose traffic restrictions on Ruta 158 near Tomé, Chile, to allow installation of beams for the new Agua Amarilla footbridge at kilometre 13.5. The schedule includes alternating traffic flow and a one‑hour total closure each day, with specific times for each day.

The concessionaire also reported that despite intense rainfall in the Ñuble and Bio‑Bio regions, routes 152 (Autopista del Itata) and 158 have remained open. Emergency crews have addressed water pooling, fallen trees and side‑track damage, maintaining connectivity. Drivers are urged to follow temporary signs, reduce speed and obey personnel.
