Bossier City Benton Road repairs to cause nighttime lane closures

The City of Bossier City and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development have announced upcoming nighttime lane closures on LA 3 (Benton Road) in north Bossier City. Starting Thursday, September 10, crews will begin removing and replacing damaged concrete panels on the stretch of road between Viking Drive and Hospital Drive.

Lane closures are scheduled from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am, Monday through Thursday. On weekends, closures will also occur during these nighttime hours, though daytime closures may also take place. The project, which is funded and managed by the City of Bossier City, is expected to continue until early 2027, depending on weather and other construction factors.

The infrastructure investment aims to improve the driving surface and extend the service life of this heavily traveled roadway.
