Boston Bruins defeat New York Rangers 3-0 in NHL season opener

Fraser Minten broke the deadlock with 3:46 remaining in regulation, assisted by Elias and Hampus Lindholm. JJ Peterka followed shortly after with a goal in his Bruins debut, and Mark Kastelic sealed the win with an empty-netter. Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman earned a shutout with 24 saves, while Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin made 20 saves in the loss.

The win marks the Bruins' 11th consecutive home-opening victory, matching an NHL record. The game also featured the debut of David Pastrnak as the team's captain.
