Boston Bruins assign eight players to Providence Bruins

The Boston Bruins have announced their first round of training camp roster cuts, assigning eight players to the AHL’s Providence Bruins. The group includes Wyatt Bongiovanni, Luke Cavallin, Navrin Mutter, Max Lundgren, Kalle Vaisanen, Loke Johansson, Max Wanner, and Tobie Paquette-Bisson.

Navrin Mutter was placed on waivers and was not claimed, facilitating his move to Providence. A physical forward acquired from the Nashville Predators last March, Mutter signed a one-year, two-way extension with the Bruins in June. He joins a Providence roster that includes goaltenders Cavallin and Lundgren.
