Boston Bruins cancel Worcester Fan Fest due to weather

The Boston Bruins have canceled the Worcester stop of their ‘2026 Fan Fest: Road to Opening Night’ scheduled for Sunday at Worcester Common. The decision was made due to a forecast of inclement weather in the area.

In a statement, the organization noted that the decision was reached in consultation with City of Worcester officials to prioritize the safety of fans, staff, players, and partners. While the event was intended to allow supporters to interact with the team and players, such as defensemen Connor Clifton and Will Borgen, no replacement date or alternative location has been announced yet.

Despite the cancellation, the team remains active with prospects scheduled to play in the 2026 Prospects Showcase against the Buffalo Sabres. The Bruins are also preparing for training camp and upcoming preseason games before opening their 2026-27 campaign against the New York Rangers on September 29.
